EXTREMELY RARE 1939 BELMONT - MODEL 510 Summary
This Pre War 1939 Belmont, Model 510 is one difficult radio to find to say the least. In fact I've only seen two other examples in the last 30 years making it one of the rarest Belmont radios to find. The extensive restoration took 10 full days and one look at the before and after photo and you can understand why. It was in very poor condition inside and out when I bought it but as you can see now, it displays like new once again! Other than a short tight hairline professional repair (bottom right corner), the cabinet is in excellent condition.
The set plays very well with the original metal backing acting as the antenna system and an external wire attached for improved reception (Ant wire included). The deco style gold/white dial glass (not plastic) with the green disc back plate is one of my favorites and is a very classy high quality feature by Belmont. The knobs are original ivory tenite knobs. And for the size, it's not quite a midget set but would be considered a mini for sure, measuring only 9.5" wide x 5.5" tall x 4.5" deep.

If having rare sets in your collection is a priority, then this hard to find Belmont would be a fantastic addition! SOLD
