RARE! 1939 BAKELITE VOGUE TUBE RADIO - MINT! Summary
RARE 1939 VOGUE Tube Radio by Sheridan Electronics Corp. This Gem here is as pristine as it gets and like all Vogue sets it is very hard to come by. The foil stamped face plate is Art Deco at its best and one of my favorites. The "design in motion" bullet style cabinet is a popular one for many collectors who appreciate the Deco & Streamline combination. This cabinet mold was also used by a few other companies such as.. Globe,Mantola, and Marconi (with 4 added push buttons). As far as model number, it is unknown and I've been unable to find a photofact sheet for it. It could be a 552 which was the same model# for the Globe version, and the 553R was the Vogue version with the "D" dial that I previously sold, so it would make sense being a 552 although I cannot verify it. Regardless, it's one of the more difficult models to find and especially in this museum quality condition. Fully restored inside and out ready to display & play! SOLD
