RARE 1939 MARCONI Super-Het MODEL 153 Summary
VERY OBSCURE 1939 Radio by MARCONI of Canada, Model 153. This little Gem is in beautiful condition with no chips or cracks and has been fully restored ready to display and play! The classic lines and gorgeous Art Deco dial scale really looks sharp. Being a Super Het set it uses a long antenna wire instead of a interior loop Ant. The reception is excellent and very sensitive bringing in many stations on the AM band. MARCONI bakelite sets are not easy to find to say the least and being that it's from the company that was founded by the inventor of radio himself.. Guglielmo Marconi, makes it even more special. Known as the Father of Radio, Marconi died at just 63, just two years before this set was manufactured. SOLD
